Seattle, WA, Fisher Plaza - Rubicon provided design-build construction for a UPS and cooling tower expansion project to provide an additional 400kW of UPS capacity and an additional 300 tons of cooling capacity to an existing live data center. Rooftop placement of the cooling tower required additional structural support and coordination with live television broadcast transmission equipment. All work was accomplished with no shut downs or loss or service.
Seattle, WA, Sabey Phase I - Rubicon provided design assist construction management for the conversion of commercial real estate to data center use. 9,000 sq. ft. of critical raised floor area, 20,000 sq. ft. total. Tier III infrastructure. 100 watts/sf. density. Compressed construction schedule of 3-1/2 months.
Seattle, WA, Sabey Phase II - Expansion of existing data space under live load to yield a total of 18,000 sq. ft. of critical raised floor area. Tier III infrastructure. 100 watts/sf density. Compressed construction schedule of 75 days.
Seattle, WA, Sabey Phase III - Rubicon provided design and engineering; equipment procurement and integration; and owner’s representation services for a 7,500 sq. ft. expansion of existing data center space. Included all new M/E/P support equipment for 185watts/sq. ft. density in a Tier III design.
Boston, MA, Somerville Data Center Phase I - Rubicon provided design/build CM at risk services to provide for additional redundancy and power distribution in existing active data center. Improvements included a new UPS wrap around bypass section, addition of a redundant “B” power path to the critical load, as well as a new UPS distribution section and six (6) 300kVa PDUs for additional branch circuit capacity.
Boston, MA, Somerville Data Center Phase II – Rubicon provided design/Build CM at risk services for an 8,000 sq. ft. expansion at Internap’s premier Boston location. The design leveraged existing utility, generator and UPS systems for 125 watts/ sq. ft. of critical power, while incorporating a new N+1 rooftop chilled water cooling system. The project was completed in 5 months from commencement of design to substantial completion.
