165 Halsey Street, Newark, NJ – Design/build project to increase cooling capacity to support data center expansion of an existing live hosting facility situated in a Historical Landmark Building. Work included the removal of four air conditioning units installed at the perimeter wall of the building and replacing with a specially design and built fan wall/fluid cooler system. The new system increased capacity above the removed CRAC units by 130 tons, eliminated ductwork on the data center floor while significantly enhancing reliability. Compliance with Historical Building Commission guide-lines required the design and engineering of a specialized cooling system to meet the performance requirements while maintaining the project schedule and budget.
32 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY – Rubicon provided the complete refurbishment of three interior cooling towers and piping to a live data center without interruption. The work included new VFD pumps and controls, replacement of all condenser water piping on the tower floors, careful coordination of work to avoid customer disruption.
350 East Cermak, Chicago, IL. – Data Center Expansion Project – Rubicon provided general contracting services required to complete a 5,000 sq-ft data center expansion within a fully occupied and operational data center. This project included the installation of (2) 750 KVA UPS systems, relocation of CRAC units and duct work renovations to establish a Hot aisle / Cold aisle server rack configuration.
