In March of this year, we launched the first in a series of national power dinner events at New York City’s Sparks restaurant.  The event brought together Rubicon executives and high ranking officials from leading organizations including Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Citi Group, NYSERDA, and Deutsche Bank. The informal and informative discussions focused on current trends and challenges in mission- critical facility design and energy management.  Our second dinner was held at Chicago’s Gibsons Restaurant and included executives from such organizations as Centerpoint Properties, McGuire Engineers, Environmental Systems Design, University of Chicago, Mesirow Financial, and Argonne National Lab.

“The most recent dinner hosted by Rubicon executives was an excellent event. Rubicon has assembled an impressive team that clearly delivers tremendous value to its clients. The organizations represented at the dinner clearly indicate that Rubicon is on its way to establishing a major presence in this industry,” states Josh Rabina, Co-president, Sentinel Data Centers, a premier developer of data center space.

The Dinner with Rubicon events is an opportunity for us to meet with decision makers on a one-on-one basis and hold informal discussions concerning best-practices and future needs related to mission- critical facility design and construction. We know that construction management and energy strategies are a vital part of overall corporate competitiveness.  Rubicon is uniquely qualified to  provide innovative solutions and strategies in these areas because our best-in-industry professional engineers deliver unique and affordable strategies for building or upgrading core facilities – from design/build and construction management to energy services and equipment integration. The attendees not only learned first-hand about our innovative solutions but, more importantly, ways in which these solutions can positively impact their bottom line.

Seattle’s leading provider of server colocation, dedicated servers and cloud hosting - Adhost Internet is our newest customer. Adhost leveraged Rubicon for construction of its newly expanded, energy efficient data center facility, leveraging our design/build solutions to expand its data center in a short four month timeframe.

Completion of the new data center, housed in Seattle’s Fisher Plaza, allows Adhost to expand services beyond its current 7,000 customers, offering capacity for potential revenue as part of its history of sustained growth. More importantly, the “green” energy efficient data center translates into cost savings to Adhost and its customers, including Microsoft, WatchGuard, Zumiez, and Tully’s Coffee.  All depend on Adhost and its 15 years of experience to ensure business‐critical Web sites are handled in a unified, safe and consistent manner through such services as: server colocation, cloud hosting, dedicated servers, server management, hosting, and e‐commerce.

“At Adhost, our data center is the lifeblood of our business,” said Will Riffle, CEO, Adhost Internet. “Our customers need to feel confident their data is being stored safely, which is why we take significant effort to provide secure, redundant internet connections with appropriate levels of power and cooling throughout our infrastructure.”

“Rubicon’s consummate professionals have a firm grasp of this business and truly understand the owner’s perspective and the expense margin,” concluded Riffle. “Rubicon offered an outstanding information flow throughout the project. We also appreciated their total approach to on‐site security procedures.”
